Dorothy J. (Biancosino) Taylor

January 3, 1936 ~ April 22, 2022 (age 86)


Dorothy J. (Biancosino) Taylor, 86, of Albion, passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital.
 She was born on January 3, 1936, in Erie, a daughter of the late Julio and Violet (Wager) Biancosino.
Dorothy graduated from Erie’s Strong Vincent High School in 1955 and following high school began raising her family and taking care of her home. She was later employed at Eriez Magnetics as a Receptionist and later Purchasing Secretary.
She enjoyed crafting and painting wooden projects that her husband Glen had been working on, she was always busy with sewing, knitting or cross stitch. She loved Italian cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Dorothy loved her grandchildren and made special days for them on Thursdays, where great effort was made in coming up with a project or craft to accomplish together.
Dorothy was an active member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Cranesville. As a member there she participated as an Elder and a member of the Bethel Belles.  She was also active with the Koinonia team in Erie County. 
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Colvin and a brother, Richard Biancosino.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her husband of 46 years, Glen Taylor, whom she married August 6, 1976, also by two daughters, Susan Egli (Les) and Kimberly Laseck (Robert); four sons, Michael Nulph (Alice), Eric Taylor (Kim), Scott Nulph (JoLynn) and Eric Nulph (Amy); a sister, Judith Hogan (Richard); a brother, Gerald Biancosino; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday April 29, 2022 from 10 AM to the time of a memorial service at 12 noon at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard with Al Bennett officiating.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion Volunteer Fire Dept. 19 Smock Ave., Albion PA 16401 or to the Bethel Presbyterian Church in Elk Creek Twp., 8990 Crane Rd., Cranesville, PA 16410 or to West County Paramedic Associates, 6852 Meadville Rd, Girard, PA 16417.
