Donna M. Roberts

Donna M. (Bannister) Roberts, 82, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Country Club Retirement Campus surrounded by her family.

Donna was born August 28, 1942, a daughter to the late Charles and Arline (Culp) Bannister. 

Donna graduated from Townville High School in 1960. Following high school, she went to work for a local farm, Great Lakes Growers, in Union City where she was a line worker. She then began work at Ethan Allen Furniture where she packed furniture for delivery and met her husband Ken. Later, Donna worked with her husband at their service garage, Roberts Auto Service. Following her time at the service garage, she moved with her husband to Muskegon, MI. While in Michigan, she worked as a teacher's aide in a special needs department. Upon returning to Erie County, settling in Fairview, she worked as a pharmacy assistant as well as a nurses aide at Pleasant Ridge Manor, retiring in 2003. 

Donna was a member of the Union City Presbyterian Church, as well as the First Presbyterian Church in Muskegon, MI. She was also a member and a Past Worthy Matron in the Order of the Eastern Star in Union City and in Muskegon, MI.

In addition to her biological parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Roberts, whom she married November 6, 1974; her loving step-father, William "Bill" Dupont; and also by a step-brother, Richard "Dick" Dupont.

Donna will be greatly missed by her family which include, two step-daughters, Darlene Davis (Steve) and Amy Harris (Joe); two step-sons, Timothy Roberts (Pam) and Kevin Roberts (Monica); six grandchildren, Jessica Melton, Cody Laut, Chad Roberts, Kaitlyn Roberts, Christina Harris, and Joseph Harris; as well as four great-grandchildren, Olivia  James, Lucas James, Rowan James, and Jacob Dominick.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 1645 West 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.

Friends may call on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 3:00 pm to the time of Order of the Eastern Star Funeral Service in Honor of Sister Donna Roberts at 6:00 pm, at the Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. E, Girard, PA 16417.
