Donna M Peters

Donna M. (Swift) Peters, 88, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 14, 2026.

Donna was born on July 31, 1937, daughter of the late Maxwell and Alice (Brozell) Swift.

She was a 1955 graduate of Albion High School. Following her education, Donna began working as a waitress at Teed's Dinor in Albion. During this time, she met her husband, Raymond, and together they started a family. Donna devoted many years to being a loving homemaker while raising their three children. Once her children reached high school age, she reentered the workforce, working as a cook at the Presbyterian Home. She also spent time working in the deli department at Weislogel's Shur-Fine.

Donna was an excellent cook and baker and will always be remembered by her family for bringing homemade chicken noodle soup and chocolate chip cookies whenever someone was sick. She loved working outdoors in her flower beds and tending to her gardens. Donna also enjoyed taking long car rides with her husband and attending car shows together.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by the love of her life and true soulmate, Raymond Peters; her sister, Lillian Ferguson; and her two brothers, Harold Swift and Paul Swift.

Donna will be deeply missed by her family, including her two sons, Jeffrey Peters (Brenda) and Michael Peters (Joy); her daughter, Karen Peters (Art); her grandchildren, Andrea Eisenhuth and Bradley Cesario; her great-grandchildren, Alexis Harpst, Micayla Eisenhuth, Seth Eisenhuth, and Lucas Eisenhuth; her sister-in-law, Marlene Swift; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna’s memory may be made to the Springfield Fire Department, 11959 Main St., East Springfield, PA 16411.

Friends may call on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. E., Girard, PA.
