Denver L Ireland, 69, of Edinboro, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 6, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Erie, December 23, 1953, a son of the late F.A. “Frank” and Arlene M. (Lydic) Ireland.
Denver graduated from General McLane High School in 1971. Following high school he began work in a local machine shop as an apprentice tool maker, attending night school and eventually received his journeyman’s tool and die credentials.
He worked for various local companies as a tool maker including Beck Tool and Die in Edinboro and most recently Mikron Valve in Erie. Denver was also a Franklin Twp. Supervisor for many years and assisted the road crew there as well.
He was a social member of the Edinboro-McKean VFW Post#740. Denver was a PIAA and ASA softball umpire. He also umpired the Little League World Series for many years.
Denver enjoyed a good game of poker with his friends. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited and an avid hunter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Kimmy; a brother, Jerry L. Ireland and a nephew, Jay R. Ireland.
He will be greatly missed by his family, which include his daughter, Christy Rose Ireland (Micah) of Pittsburgh; grandsons, Theodore M.S. Ireland and one on the way; sisters, Bobbie Sue Pulliam (Shelly) and Linda Dunham (Robert); a brother, Jeffery W. Ireland; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will occur at a date to be determined.
