David J. Williams

David J. Williams, 61, of Virginia, died on Sunday, January 29, 2023. 
He was born in Portsmouth, VA on October 14, 1961, the son of Patricia (Eddy) Niedzielski and the late Richard Williams.
Following his high school education, David joined the United States Navy in 1984 and achieving the rank of Petty Officer First Class while he amassed a total of 270 days at sea over three deployments and 20 years of service.  He finished his career as non-commissioned officer in charge and instructor of Non-Destructive Inspections at Submarine Squadron 11, Naval Base Point Loma, San Diego, CA.  His technicians were responsible for maintenance and inspections, ensuring the readiness of the Navy's Pacific nuclear submarine fleet.  Upon his honorable discharge, David pursued his passions, including golfing and fishing.  Once retired he became the sole caregiver for his Grandmother. 
David was preceded in death by his father, Richard Williams and his stepfather, Robert Niedzielski. 
In addition to his mother, he will be greatly missed by his family which include his daughter, Tracy Shauinger (Justin) and their children, Logan and Cole Shauinger of Durango, CO; brothers, Daniel Williams (Cindy) and Richard “Dale” Williams; sister, Melissa Niedzielski; as well as many dear nieces and nephews. 
Services to be held privately by the family. 
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the WLD Ranch, 7351 Woolsey Road, Girard, PA 16417.
