David R. Weithman

  David Weithman, 70, died on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Fairview Manor following a battle with cancer.
Dave was born December 31, 1950 a son to the late Richard and Esther (Payne) Weithman. 
Dave graduated from Girard High School in 1969. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Army in 1971. 

  Returning home to the Erie area, Dave continued his schooling at Erie County Technical School. He began working with Carlisle Construction in maintenance. From there he changed employment to Emsco-Erie Inc.. Dave then started a career at Lake Shore Frozen Foods staying there as a handy man until his semi-retirement in 2002. He returned to Maple Donuts in maintenance and as a jack of all trades. 

  Dave enjoyed a simple life with his family, often attending Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates games. Dave and his family could regularly be found at Presque Isle State Park enjoying the fresh air and sunsets. He and his life long companion Anna Smith enjoyed taking trips to see family and friends. Dave added many cosmetic and structural features to their home, he was always tinkering and fixing something. He truly could fix anything that he put his energy and mind to. Dave was always willing and happy to help those who needed some assistance with a project at home.

 
  In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by his life long companion Anna Smith. 
  He will be greatly missed by his family which include his step-son, Jason Smith his wife Deirdre and their children Austin Smith, Paisley Smith, Aiden James, and Logan James; daughters, Laurie Davis and Stacy Carr; and a brother, Mark Weithman. 

With David's wishes in mind no services will be held at this time.
