David A. Peterson, 82, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Saint Vincent Hospital.
He was born December 8, 1943, a son to the late Arthur and Doris (Lindquist) Peterson.
David graduated from Harbor Creek High School, went on to a career in welding, and retiring from Industrial Sales after many years of loyal service. In retirement, he found joy in a part-time job driving vehicles for Bob Ferrando Ford, often taking his wife, Carolyn, along with him. He loved sightseeing with her, enjoying the simple pleasure of driving and exploring new places together.
David was kind to everyone and he was always willing to help. He was a member of the Lions Club, where he appreciated helping with fundraisers.
He loved fishing, exploring creeks and lakes throughout the area, often alongside friends and family. He also cherished the quiet moments spent with his wife at Avonia Beach, peacefully taking in the sunsets. David enjoyed being outdoors and looked forward to gardening each year, often planning well before spring arrived.
Above all, David was a devoted family man, making every effort to attend his grandchildren’s events and support them in all that they did.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristy Dinger.
