David L. Osterberg, 56, of Cranesville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at his home.
He was born March 19, 1966, in Conneaut, Ohio and later graduated from Northwestern High School in Albion, where he was President of the Future Farmers of America.
Following high school, he attended the State University of New York (SUNY) at Alfred, NY; receiving an Associate Degree in Agricultural Engineering.
He began employment in Springfield Twp., where he rented an apple orchard, he later worked at WLD Ranch as a Maintenance Supervisor. Dave began his own business, as a state inspection mechanic in 2012 and operated it until his disability in 2017. Most recently he had been employed at the Girard Cemetery as a ground’s keeper.
Dave Loved his family farm in Cranesville and taking care of the many farm animals there.
He was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church, where he was head trustee the last two years.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Baby Kindle on May 17, 2021.
Dave will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife, Heather L. (Junkin) Osterberg, whom he married August 22, 1992; also, two daughters, Annabelle Kindle (Cody), Emma Osterberg (John Szumbinski); his parents, David C. and Linda (Johnston) Osterberg; a sister, Violet Hastings (Robert) and his mother and father in Law, Stanley and Darlene Junkin.
Friends may call on Sunday from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8Pm at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services there on Monday at 10AM with Pastor Malcolm Bealle officiating.
Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
