Obituary

Darlene M. (English) Rudd, 73, of Erie, and formerly of Girard, passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2023.

She was born in Erie, December 20, 1949, a daughter of the late Benjamin M. and Doris E (Platz) English.

Darlene was raised and educated in Girard, attending Rice Avenue Union High School. She was a homemaker throughout her life and resided in Girard until recently due to ill health.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Duane M. English.

Her family include a daughter, Amy J. Biletnikoff-Oldach (Mark); a son, Gary L. Rudd (Michelle); her grandchildren, Holly Rudd, Danielle Schodt, Tyler Wood and Caden Oldach; great grandchildren, Lyla, Jovie, Remi and Bowen Schodt and a cousin, Debbie Somppi.

Services for Darlene will be held privately by the family.

Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Families of the Wounded Fund Inc., PO Box 5327, Midlothian, VA 23112-1358.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Parkside at Glenwood for all their wonderful care, compassion and friendship they so freely gave our mother.
