Darlene Gregory Obituary

Darlene C. Gregory (Schmidt),81, of Girard, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024.

She was born on February 8, 1943, in Braddock, PA, to the late Joseph and Arline (Swift) Schmidt.

Darlene attended Northwestern High School, graduating in 1961. Following high school, she continued her education to become a secretary. After a few years, she met her husband, and they started a family together. For several years, Darlene was a homemaker, staying home to raise her children. She later began working at Northwestern School District as a secretary and eventually transferred to the Girard School District, where she worked until her happy retirement in 2005.

In her free time, Darlene was passionate about sewing and crafting. Her family frequently attended craft fairs, a tradition she cherished. Darlene was a talented seamstress, often altering dresses and clothing for many people throughout her life. She especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren, attending as many of their events as she could.

Darlene is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Gregory, whom she married on April 18, 1964; her sons, Todd Gregory (Kori) and Jason Gregory; her daughter, Michelle Braden (Bryan); her sisters, Joan Bowen and Judy Reiser (Jim); her grandchildren, Collin Gregory (Bryanna), Justin Brown, Monica Clinger (Ryan), Bryan Salisbury (Julia), Amanda Braden (Raymond), Dalton Braden, Tyler Gregory, and Aizik Gregory; as well as nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
