Colleen A. Long

Colleen A. Long, 61, died on Sunday March 10, 2024 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. 

Colleen A. Long, born on October 19, 1962, in Erie and was the daughter of Ann (Betty) McCune (Nuber) and the late Carter (Mick) McCune. 

After graduating from Fairview High School in 1980, Colleen started her career as a Certified Nurse Aide at Pleasant Ridge Manor, a role she held until 2001. In pursuit of further education, Colleen returned to school and achieved her goal of becoming a Licensed Medical Assistant from Great Lake Institute of Technology. She then secured a role with the team at Bayside Digestive Disease.

Colleen found joy in various activities. Her love for her feline companions, culinary arts, card games with friends, and gardening - especially tending to her cherished flowers - filled her free time. However, her greatest joys were raising her children and caring for her grandmother, whom she dearly loved.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Lillian Nuber.

Colleen's passing is a loss keenly felt by her mother, Betty McCune; daughters, Sara Long and Melissa Moyers (Jason); brother, Shawn McCune; two adoring grandchildren and a niece. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials of Colleen may be made to Shriner's Hospital at 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505.
Colleen was thankful to be given the opportunity to be a part of the organ donation program through CORE. 

Friends may call on Thursday March 14, 2024 from 11:00 am to the time of service at 1:00 pm at the Edder Funeral Home Inc. 309 main St. E. Girard. Burial will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
