Colin Lee Harris, 72, of Fairview, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born March 6, 1951, in Erie, a son of the late George and Pamela (Crockett) Harris.
Colin graduated from Harborcreek High School where he spent the years of his youth. Following his marriage to Darlene M. (Collingwood) Harris on July 10, 1971, he moved to Erie for a time and then to Fairview in 1994 where he has resided since.
As a young man, Colin began working for Sears at the Millcreek mall and General Electric. He began working for the Erie Diocesan Cemeteries in 1994, where he eventually became foreman, retiring from there in 2016. Following his retirement, he spent his time at Presque Isle Gun Shop working part time, enjoying talking with customers about the historical information on weapons they owned or were purchasing.
Colin was well known as a hard worker, who loved hunting and working on his home projects.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Walt Williams.
He will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife, Darlene (Collingwood) Harris; a son, Mike Harris (Heidi); his grandchildren, Emylee E. Harris and Kory Lesonik and his fiancé’ Melita; a great grandson, Colton Lesonik; two sisters, Patricia Dunar (Sam) and Sandy Williams; twin brothers, Ray Harris (Christie) and David Harris also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 4PM to the time of a Prayer Service at 7PM at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard.
