Clarence “Clancy” Hanzelka, 89, of Girard, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born in East Springfield, PA, a son of the late Carl and Margaret (Warhola) Hanzelka.
Clancy graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1954. Following high school, he worked for 37 years at Parker White Metal (now PHB) as a supervisor, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Girard American Legion Post #494, the Springfield VFW Post #4965, and the Springboro Volunteer Fire Department. Clancy enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Hanzelka and Edward Hanzelka, as well as his dear friend, Rose Kangas.
He will be greatly missed by his family, including his sons, Chris Hanzelka (Laura) and Tim Hanzelka (Anne), both of Florida; his brother, Carl Hanzelka (Carolyn); his granddaughters, Ava Hanzelka, Erika Hanzelka, and Madison Hanzelka; his grandsons, Justin Hanzelka (Kim) and Nathan Hanzelka (Ansley); and his great-grandsons, Killian Hanzelka, Jameson Hanzelka, and Peter Hanzelka.

Friends may call on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at Edder Family Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main Street East, Girard, PA 16417. Burial will follow at Springfield Cemetery.
