Christopher T. Boyer

Christopher T. Boyer, 38, of Fairview, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

Chris was born on December 6, 1986, and grew up in Clarington, PA with his parents, Todd Boyer and Robin (Grantz) Boyer.

He graduated from East Forest High School in 2005 and later attended Thiel College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 2009. He eventually moved to the Erie area and began working at Intellectual Property Services, where he was employed as a Fraud Analyst. During his time at I.P. Services, Chris developed tools and programs to help his team work more efficiently. Through self-teaching and dedication, he became a software engineer and even created a new branch within the company.

Chris was passionate about software development, but in his free time, he enjoyed playing video games, baking, going on cruises with his family and spending time with his two daughters. He was also a devoted fan of Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and The Legend of Zelda.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Boyer and his maternal grandparents, Paul and Shirley Grantz.

Chris leaves behind his loving family, including his wife, Kristen (Porter) Boyer; his two daughters, Averie and Charlotte Boyer; his sister, Tonya Boyer; his brother, Matthew Boyer (Amanda); and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Chris’s coworkers at I.P. Services for their support and care throughout his journey.

Friends may call on, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. till the time of service starting at 6:00 p.m. at Edder Family Funeral Home, LLC.
