Cheryl Lynn (Fraser) Sinko, 62, of Girard died on Monday October 14, 2024 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born June 1, 1962; a daughter to the late David and Geraldine (Petri) Fraser.
Cheryl grew up just outside of Pittsburgh, where she attended Fox Chapel High School. After starting a family, she dedicated herself to being a stay-at-home mom, deeply involved in her children's lives. She loved taking her family on road trips to explore the rivers and forests of Pennsylvania and always held a special fondness for Erie, where she eventually moved. The family spent their days camping and fishing, enjoying the fresh breeze and scenic views of the water. Cheryl and her husband often entered fishing tournaments, playfully competing to see who could reel in the biggest catch. She was also an excellent cook, known for her joyful preparation of dinners and holiday feasts. Her grandchildren became the heart of her later years, and she lovingly cared for them from an early age.
She will be greatly missed by her family which include her husband, William R. Sinko whom she married September 3, 1983; daughter, Carrie L. Rovnak (Lawrence); sons, David R. Sinko (Paige Reed-Ohara), and Brian M. Sinko; brothers, Ronald Fraser and Gregory Fraser; grandchildren, April E. Cummings and Marcus Z. Rovnak.
