Charles "Chuck" G. Wynkoop Jr.

Charles G. Wynkoop Jr. "Chuck," 88, of Erie, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Nightingale Nursing and Rehab Center.

He was born on April 9, 1936, in Elk County to the late Charles and Aura Wynkoop (Zimmerman).

Chuck graduated from Erie's East High School in 1954 and six months later enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served honorably until his discharge as an Airman 3rd class in 1958. Upon returning home, he lived in Erie and worked at Yates Plastics Company. He retired from Yates in 2001 after forty-three years spent primarily in the shipping and receiving department. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending many hours at his parents' home in rural Hallton, PA.

Chuck is survived by his relatives, David Zimmerman (Shirley), Kathryn Zimmerman Peart (Kevin), and his lifelong friend, Linda Leonard.
