Catherine Weaver, 75, of Albion, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at UPMC Hamot Hospital.
She was born February 17, 1950, a daughter to the late John D. Bartosek and Doris Daigle.
Catherine graduated from Northwestern High School. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Donald Weaver, and together they began building a life rooted in home and family. Their family was deeply loved and always came first. Catherine was known for cooking wonderful meals, and as the family grew, so did her table. Holidays were especially meaningful, whether Christmas spent baking cookies or summer gatherings filled with picnics and laughter. She had a generous heart, quietly giving of herself to those in need.
Catherine enjoyed life’s quiet moments, whether reading a book or simply sitting in the sunshine while entertaining and being entertained by her cats. During the winter months she spent time crocheting, and in the summer she and her family packed up for camping trips, sharing laughter late into the evenings.
Her working life both began and concluded at Fairview Manor, where she served as a nurse’s aide. Her compassionate care touched the lives of many residents and was deeply appreciated by all who knew her.
Catherine was an active member of Kidders Corners Community Church. She especially loved singing with the congregation, and her compassion extended there as well, always willing to help in any way she could.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Bartosek.
She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her husband, Donald A. Weaver, whom she married on May 3, 1969; daughter, Melissa Rivers (Bob McClintock); sons, Donald A. Weaver II (Cassie), Christopher Weaver (Marci), Phillip Weaver (Kristin); sisters, Diane Seebacher and Christine Zirkle (Charlie); grandchildren, Donald A Weaver III, Lacy Hall, Gavin Weaver, Benjamin Rivers, Olivia Rivers, Kaylin McClintock, Hunter McClintock, Lila Weaver, Aurora Weaver, Jennifer Brashear-Weaver, Isabelle Brasher-Weaver, Vanessa Weaver; great-grandson, Tanner Bishop.
