Caroline L (Iacobucci) Otis

Caroline L. (Iacobucci) Otis, "Nana", 91, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Caroline was born in Erie on March 31, 1933, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Giuseppina (DiNicola) Iacobucci.

She graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1951. Following high school, she went to work in retail at the Loblaw's Supermarket until retiring from there in 1989.

When Caroline was younger, she was a member of bowling leagues, as well as mixed leagues with her husband Bob. Her true passion in life was being a wonderful "Nana" to her loving grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard; where she assisted with the weekly offerings and funeral luncheons. She was also a member of the St. Paul's Ladies Montenero Society. 

In addition to her parents, Caroline was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Otis; sisters, Mary Donatucci, Margaret Trigilio, and Helen Iacobucci; brothers, Donato Iacobucci, Joseph Iacobucci, and Richard Iacobucci.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert D. Otis II (Robin) of Lake City and Donald R. Otis (Tammy) of Conneaut, OH; sister, Gilda Malizia, and sister-in laws, Maria Iacobucci and Janet Otis. Nana to eight grandchildren, Nathan Otis (Libby), Alicia Bush (Ryan), Ken Otis (Lisa), Samantha Wolfe (Andrew), Shannon Rihn (Zach), Robin Marie Carpinello (TJ), Tristan Otis (Alison), Noah Otis; as well as ten great-grandchildren and several nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday November 21, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. Funeral Services will be held the following day Friday, November 22nd at 10:00 am at Edder Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
