Carol J. (Schmidt) SanFrotello, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Dom House.
Carol was born on October 26, 1940, in West Springfield, a daughter to the late Richard and Helen (Harmon) Schmidt.
Carol grew up in Lake City on her father’s dairy farm. She graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1958 and immediately went to work in offices of local factories until finding her career position at Copes-Vulcan in Lake City. Carol stayed with Copes-Vulcan in the Accounting Department until their closing. She then took her skills in finance to the Lake Erie Community Federal Credit Union until her retirement.
Carol was a member of multiple bowling leagues in the Girard area and was in high demand as a teammate, especially after she scored a 600 series. Carol was a volunteer for the Lake City Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed bringing the family together for holiday dinners and took great pride in her Christmas holiday preparations. Carol was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Louis SanFrotello, whom she married October 5, 1963; a sister, Helen Penza; and brothers, Edward, George, Joseph, and Harold "Dub" Schmidt.
Carol will be greatly missed by her family which includes her daughters, Candice Holden (Jason) and Cynthia Rhoades (Chris); sons, Richard SanFrotello (Stephanie) and Randall SanFrotello (Amy); grandchildren, Ryan Durst (Jenny), Jordan Eberhard (Bobby), Ali Furlough (RJ), Louis Nagy, Emma Nagy, Courtney Rhoades, Benjamin SanFrotello, and Bailey SanFrotello; great-grandchildren, Lexi Durst, Jackson Durst, Alaina Furlough, Cade Furlough, Leah Eberhard and Noelle Eberhard; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 2:00 pm to the time of service at 4:00 pm at the Edder Family Funeral Home, LLC, 309 Main St. E., Girard.
