Carol (Knorr) Garda

Carol Ann (Knorr) Garda, 76, formerly of Girard, died on Monday, December 13, 2021 at Passavant Community in Zelienople, PA.

Carol was born on June 30, 1945 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late, Loren and Anna (Chichura) Knorr.

Carol graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School and Slippery Rock State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Education. She worked as a teacher in Pittsburgh and in the Ellwood City Area School District. 

She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, painting ceramics and spending time with her grandchildren and family.  
Carol was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Mark) Palaski of Seven Fields, PA; loving sister, Kathleen “Tat” Wickham of Girard; grandchildren, Michael, Carolyn and Joseph Palaski; nephew, Matthew (Jody) Wickham: niece, Monica (Arlen) Bird.

Funeral services will be held privately by the family. Burial will be at St John's Cemetery.
