Brenda S. (Lahnan) Justice, 65, of Pineville, WV died on Monday, May 29, 2023 at her home.
She was born on March 3, 1958, a daughter to Gerald and Renalda (Peterson) Lahnan.
Brenda grew up in West Springfield graduating from Northwestern High School. She continued her education at Edinboro University graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology. Seeking new opportunities, Brenda relocated to Pineville, West Virginia, where she embarked on a teaching career at Wyoming County Board of Education. Simultaneously, she continued education taking additional courses and ultimately earning a Master's Degree from Radford University in Radford Virginia. Throughout her tenure as a teacher, Brenda made a significant impact on numerous children, assisting them in improving their speech skills. Her dedication was recognized for years to come by her former students, who often greeted her with heartwarming smiles when they encountered her in town.
Outside of her professional life, Brenda cherished the warmth of her home, where she found solace with her beloved husband. One of her annual endeavors was creating a beautiful flower bed, bringing color to their home. The holidays were a particularly joyous time for Brenda, as she delighted in adorning their home with carefully placed decorations. Additionally, she had a deep passion for reading and bird watching. Taking leisurely strolls with her husband and their dogs at Twin Falls State Park was another cherished pastime. In the evenings, Brenda and her husband delighted in lovely dinners and movie dates, savoring these moments of togetherness.
She will be greatly missed by her family which include her husband of over 40 years, Mark Justice; parents, Gerald and Renalda Lahnan; sisters, Wanda Lahnan and Pam Oakes (Gary); nieces, Sheree Taylor and Rebekah Ryer (Ben).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Nation Multiple Sclerosis Society 6023 Overlook Drive, Erie, PA 16505.
