Bonnie Lou (Sydow) DuMars

Bonnie Lou (Sydow) DuMars, 78, of Girard, died on February 21, 2023 at Pleasant Ridge Manor. 
  
She was born on August 29, 1944 to the late, William and Opal (Swift) Sydow in Girard, PA. She graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School and then went work as a waitress at the Lake City Dinor on Route 5.  She later worked at Sterling Factories in Erie, manufacturing aluminum parts.  Bonnie also worked at various manufacturing facilities in Erie. She ended her career as a machinist at General Electric in 2005 after over 20 years of a job well done. 
  
She attended Girard Alliance Church.  Bonnie loved her daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She was very involved in their lives making every effort to attend sporting events and family gatherings.
  
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Sydow as a child and Norman Sydow; sister, Bertha Leuschen.

Bonnie will be greatly missed by her family which include her daughter, Donna Kuffer of Lake City; brother, Bradley Sydow; grandchildren, Evi Bowers (Scott), John "Jay" Kuffer of Raleigh, NC and Dylan Kuffer (Stephanie) of Girard; great-grandchildren, Thomas Head, Kevin Bowers (Charlotte), Kyle Bowers and Dylan "D.J.", Kayla, Zavier and Liliana Kuffer. 
 
A Memorial Service will be held at the Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. E., Girard, on Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Girard Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Girard-Lake City Christian Cupboard Food Pantry, 260 Main St. E., Girard, PA 16417.
