Beverly A. Frey

Beverly Ann (Betty) Wheeler, Frey, 95, died July 13th, 2026 at Saint Mary's Nursing Home. She was the daughter of late Marvin and Bessie Wheeler.

She graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1949. She worked at the Girard Department Store for many years. Later in life, she became a real estate agent until retirement, proud to have been a million dollar seller many times. 

Betty was an avid reader and enjoyed travel.  She and Hon would travel the United States every July, siteseeing, stopping at casinos, and visiting family and friends along the way. There favorite spot was Jackson Hole, Wyoming. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence (Hon) Frey; sister, Edna (Otto) Teshner; two brothers, Marvin (Evelyn) Wheeler and Don (Bertha) Wheeler.

Betty is survived by her children; Janet S Frey, Christine (John) Schmitt, Kim (Kate) Frey, and Lance (Colleen) Frey; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Ruben) Wilson, David (Julie) Frey, Katie (Nate) Fink; five great grand children, Justin and Gabrielle Wilson, Lily Frey, Walker and Blake Fink; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours and a private grave site service will be held at the family's convenience at the Girard Cemetery.
