Barbara Stemple, 76, passed away on November 9, 2024 following a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born May 8, 1948 to the late Charles and Linnie (Stearns) Shauberger.
Barb grew up in Girard and graduated from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1966. After graduation, she worked at RNS Printing where she met her husband, Roger. Several years later they opened Roger’s Aquarium where they sold tropical fish and small pets. Later on, Barb went to work at H&R Block in Girard until she retired.
She loved her family and was very proud of her two grandchildren, Michael and Ashley. She enjoyed her flower gardens and especially her roses. She loved sewing and quilting. She also loved a good mystery novel, impatient for the next one to come out. Barb loved to travel. She took several trips to the West Coast with her sister and to the Outer Banks with her sister-in-law’s family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Stemple, whom she married August 29, 1970; sisters, Sally Pellow and Charlotte Shauberger.
She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her daughter, Shelley Stemple, son, Brian Stemple (Marlene); sister, Peggy Shauberger; brother, John Shauberger (Kathy); grandchildren, Ashley Rogers and Michael Rogers. Several nieces and nephews.
