Barbara A. (Jones) Keenen

Barbara A. (Jones) Keenen, 63, of Girard, died on Sunday May 8, 2022.

She was born August 23, 1958 a daughter to the late Ernest and Betty (Terryberry) Jones. 

Barb graduated from Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School in 1976. Shortly after high school she started a family. Moving in the Tri-state area before settling in Girard, Barb was a stay-at-home mother loving the time she spent with her children. She worked at Giant Eagle at the Service Desk. Most recently she worked with LCNA Home Health Care as an in-home caretaker. 

She was a woman with an infectious smile.  Barb loved the moments she spent with her friends and family. Caring for others was a prominent area of her life including her grandchildren which was a great joy. She was a member of a few bowling leagues and most recently took a liking to duck pin bowling. She attended New Beginnings Church of God. 

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Jones. 

She will be greatly missed by her family which include; daughters, Brooke Schaaf (David), Jessica Keenen and Bridget Early (Bradley); son, Jacob Keenen (Christina); the father of her children, Bernard Keenen; sisters, Bonnie Jones-Berak and Patricia Velky-Jones (Thomas); brothers, Ronald Jones (Lena) and Michael Rees (Michael); grandchildren, Keenen Schaaf, Kirsten Schaaf, Katherine Early and Charles Early. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Barbara Keenen Memorial Fund, c/o Edder Funeral Home, Inc.  

Friends may call on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. E. Girard.  A funeral service will be held there the following day, Friday, May 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Julie Lamberson officiating. Burial will take place at Girard Cemetery.
