Andrew Dworek Obituary

Andrew T. Dworek, age 19 of Fairview, departed from this world peacefully on July 30, 2021 surrounded by his family, whom he loved dearly.  Even though his physical presence has been taken from us by cancer, his spirit and persistent confidence will live on in every single soul who ever had the pleasure of knowing him.

Andrew was born in Erie, a son to Charles M. and Jennifer L. Giangiuli Dworek.  A few years later, Andrew became a brother to his younger sister Ella.  Andrew relished the role of big brother, and fostered a wonderful relationship with his sister employing his unique humor along with his decisive and witty personality.  Despite the unfortunate circumstance that the person who has known her since the day she came into this world; the person who did the most to teach her so many great lessons and knew her better than anyone else is no longer by her side, his spirit and pride will be with her forever.

Andrew graduated from Fairview High School May of 2020, and was also a student at Erie County Technical School where he excelled in his studies of computer programming.  After graduating high school, he went on to Edinboro University working on a degree in Computer Science.

Andrew was an avid PC gamer and computer programmer. He hosted his own gaming server which was used to enjoy time with his close group of online friends.  Even though hundreds of miles separated most of them, the relationships that he forged were strong and true.  His leadership and contributions to this group will forever be cherished.

Andrew’s passions also included shooting and collecting guns.  He was a student of firearm history and took great pride in his knowledge and expertise.  He also spent many hours with his friends performing amateur gunsmithing and fabricating several firearms of his own.

Andrew enjoyed relaxing with his 3 cats, Donnie, Doubles, and Stamp.  He provided a welcome home and life to all 3 of these rescued pets with his endearing compassion.

Andrew loved working on and driving automobiles.  He most enjoyed sharing in that automotive passion with his father and friends and leaves behind many great memories and creations as his legacy in that field.

Among Andrew’s diverse skills was assembling Legos.  From simply building kits to assembling a large number of his own intricate designs, his creative and analytic mind produced fantastic results.

Without a doubt though, Andrew was most happy when spending time with his friends, numerous cousins, and especially his beloved girlfriend Lilly.  His fierce loyalty to his friends and family was his greatest pride.  His humor, whit, and leadership was a steadfast beacon to every gathering, and his many exploits and shared experiences with all of these wonderful people will forever live on in their hearts and minds.  His smile, his laughter, and his confident demeanor through everything he did was contagious and omnipresent.

Andrew was preceded in death by his grandfather Ed Dworek.  Affectionately know by all of his grandchildren as Pap-Pap, he shared such a loving bond with Andrew that will live on with all of his family forever.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Charles and Jennifer Dworek; his sister, Ella Dworek; his loving girlfriend Lilly Gamble; his grandparents, Dorothy Dworek, Judy and Ray Giangiuli.  Andrew is also survived by numerous beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles who shared in his joy during every family gathering, large or small.  Among this wonderful family of aunts and uncles is Christine Eddy, Mark and Dawn Giangiuli, Jeff and Diane Dworek, Jennifer and Ryan Miles, Kim and Nate Myers, James and Paula Dworek.

And all of his cousins, who truly were his original and most cherished friends.  Lauren Miles, Alexandra Felker, Shelby Cabrera, Phoenix and Donovan Myers, Natalya Myers, Nicholas Eddy, Mitchell Myers, Kayla Giangiuli, Abbie Miles, Jack Miles, Griffin Dworek, and Sophia Dworek.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 4th from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Girard Alliance Church 229 Rice Avenue, Girard, PA 16417. A funeral service will be held there Thursday, August 5th at 11am.
