Alice J. (Mack) Murdick, 76, of Girard, passed away on May 11, 2025, at UPMC Hamot Hospital.
She was born December 9, 1948, a daughter to the late John and Dorothy (McCachren) Mack.
Alice grew up in Armagh, PA, where she attended high school. Throughout her life family was the most important, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Alice was a waitress for many years serving at the Double Duce Diner and the Green Shingle, among others.
Alice was an active member of the Sterrettania Alliance Church. Her faith played an important role in her life and helped shape the person she was known to be.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Gilbert Murdick, whom she married on February 20, 1965; a daughter, Peggy Murdick; a sister, Kay Dillion; brothers, Raymond, Dean, Floyd, Rodney and John Mack; and her grandson Colby Lee.
She will be greatly missed by her family which includes her daughters, Lisa J. Murdick and Deanne Bates (Tony); sons, John Murdick (Roxanne) and Carl Murdick (Margaret); sisters, Louise Johnson, and Faye Bowers; brother, Larry Mack; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 3:00 pm to the time of service at 6:00pm at the Edder Family Funeral Home, LLC, 309 Main St. E., Girard.
