Obituary

Alejandro Pontier, 63, died peacefully at his home surrounded by family. 
He was born May, 5 1957 a son to the late Juana Suero in the Dominican Republic. As a child his mother and he moved to New York, New York. Following his high school education Alejandro enlisted in the United States Army. In his military enlistment he suffered from a stroke that affected him for the rest of his life. Alejandro was a proud family man, enjoying his time at home. He was a very supporting father and husband. He often gave guidance to his three sons encouraging them to do their best. Alejandro had a heart for giving, often to those in need, including family still in the Dominican Republic. He loved to watch sports on television mostly baseball and basketball. He often would have friends to the house to play dominos. Alejandro and his wife attended Primera Iglesia Ebenezer Church in Erie.

In addition to his mother Alejandro was preceded in death by a brother, Euristides Suero

Alejandro will be greatly missed by his family which includes his wife Bernadina Galan De Pontier; three sons, Alejandro Pontier (Maria), Emmanuel Pontier, and Isaac Pontier (Aleksandra); three sisters, Arelis Suero, Maryluz Suero, and Raisa Suero; a brother, Maximo Suero; as well as two grandsons.
