Robert "Butch" Behringer

Robert L. “Butch” Behringer, 76 of Albion and formerly of Girard, died unexpectedly on Friday July 7, 2017 at St. Vincent Health Center.
 He was born October 15, 1940 in Erie, a son of the late Joseph F. and Olga M. (Linday) Behringer.
 Butch attended Girard High School, where he played Tackle for the Yellowjackets, and was the first sophomore from Girard to make the all county team.
 Upon leaving high school he was self employed as a farmer on Lexington Road, and later worked as a school bus driver for the Girard School District.
 Butch enjoyed going to camp with his family and friends. Sitting by the campfire, telling stories and listening to memories with his family and friends were one of his greatest joys. 
 He also enjoyed hunting and fishing on his boat and taking long rides down back roads.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joann Regelman and May Kibler.
 Butch will be greatly missed by his family which includes his wife, Judith “Judy” (Curran) Behringer, whom he married December 30, 1960 in Girard, also by three daughters, Brenda J. Homansky (Mike) of Albion, Melinda S. Coonfer (Jeff) of Ruskin, FL., Brandie Jo Wade (Dennis) of Cranesville; a son, Robert J. Behringer (Janice) of East Springfield; two sisters, Laurel Dohanic of Erie, Ann Randall of Marysville, WA; was “Poppy” to his grandchildren, Hillary Homansky, Hannah Getz (Jake), Elliot Coonfer, Linday Wade, Kasey Wade, Benjamin Behringer (Lauren), Sarah Behringer, Katie Behringer, Garrett Behringer, Courtney Sakuta; great grandchildren, Chloe Behringer, Hayley Behringer, Cordell Ulan, Ayla Getz, Augustus Hartman; and Eden Sakuta also several nieces and nephews.
 No calling hours will be observed.
 A celebration of life will be announced by his family at a later date.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Albion FFA Chapter, 200 Harthan Way, Albion, PA 16401
