Peggy L. (Godfrey) Gariepy, 65, of Lake City, has gone home to be with the love of her life, Frank, on Monday, August 21, 2017 at UPMC Hamot following an extended illness.
 She was born February 28, 1952 in Erie, a daughter of the late Loren E. and Donna R. (Adams) Godfrey.
 Peggy graduated in 1970 from the Rice Avenue Union High School in Girard. She later worked for Marx Toy’s in Girard as well as Morlite Industries. She loved bowling in the leagues in Girard and Lake City and was known for her amazing artwork, where she painted and completed many sandblasting artwork projects on bottles and glass. 
 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Gariepy on November 8, 2003, whom she married May 12, 1972 in East Springfield; also by a brother, Michael Godfrey.
 Peggy will be greatly missed by her family, which include her daughters, Tracy L. Wood of FT. Lauderdale, FL, Susan L. Suscheck (Mark) of W. Springfield; a step daughter, Alice E. Hiscox and fiancé Edward Hoffarth of Titusville; step sons, David W. Gariepy (Kim Weber) of Fairview, Frank E. Gariepy (Kim Buser) of Titusville; her sisters, Lauren R. “Pug” Platz of Kansas City, MO, Cheryl D. Hermann (Jim) of W. Springfield, Debra J. Strohmeyer (John) of Springboro, PA, Tina M. Robertson (Lance Hernandez) of Albion; her brothers, Rick K. Godfrey (Bonnie) of Girard, Richard L. Godfrey (Donna) of Pasadena, TX; her beloved grandchildren, Brittany, Brendon, Brady, Brett, Jessica, Jennifer, Kayla; her beloved great grandchildren, Logan, Kaytlynn, Maci Lynn, Ava Lynn and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to the time of a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard.
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Peggy Gariepy Memorial Fund, C/O Edder Funeral Home.
 Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
