Paul Skapura

Paul  Skapura, 61, of Girard passed away on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness.
  
  He was born on August 2, 1956 to Michael and Florence (Wasiulewski) Skapura in Erie.
  
  Paul graduated from Girard High School in 1974.While in school, he was a member of the Wrestling and Cross-Country teams and was President of the Chess Club. Following graduation he attended the Ivy School of Professional Art in Pittsburgh and then transferred to Edinboro University where he studied in the Arts and Design program. He was known for painting several signs in the Girard area and was a member of the Girard Boosters for many years. 
      
  He is survived by mother, Florence (Wasiulewski) Skapura, brother, Michael Skapura, of Girard; and his niece, Sister Elizabeth of the Trinity, OCD., Elysburg, Pennsylvania. 

  He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Skapura in 2017.  
  
  There will be no calling hours observed. 
 
  Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on June 16, 2018 at 10:00 am at Pleasant Ridge Manor Chapel, 8300 W. Ridge Rd., Girard.
  
  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
