Margaret E. (Berchtold) Reinhardt of Lake City, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones at the age of 88.  She was born July 8, 1930 to Phillip and Mildred (Liebel) Berchtold in Erie.  She grew up as one of ten children and attended Strong Vincent High School.  She was employed at the Boston Store and Talon before marrying the one and only love of her life, Jack Reinhardt, Sr. on May 8, 1948.  They were fortunate to celebrate 50 years of marriage before his passing in 1998.  Together, they started Reinhardt Trucking Company and built their successful business up to a fleet of six trucks.  One of their biggest projects was as head trucking contractor for the repair of the Conrail train track washout over Elk Creek. They worked together as a team on other significant local projects including the building of Interstates 79 and 90, as well as the Kinzua Dam and the yearly sand replenishments at Presque Isle.  Her greatest joy was working side by side with her husband on their trucks.

Marge was known for her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone.  Her quick wit and ready laugh could light up a room.  After retirement she enjoyed spending time in their Florida home, visiting casinos, and going to yard sales and flea markets.  She had uncommon strength and tenacity that served her well; those who knew her best knew she also had uncommon generosity, kindness, honesty and love.  She had a life that was well-lived and a family that loved her deeply.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers; Joseph, Fred, Gilbert, Robert and Charles Berchtold and two sisters, Helen Straub and Catherine Beuchert.

She is survived by two brothers, David Berchtold and James Berchtold (Valerie), all of Fairview, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Berchtold of Edinboro.  She is further survived by her four children, Linda Shollenberger (James), Joyce Campbell, Jack Reinhardt (Tracy) and Jeffery Reinhardt (Michelle).  She was loved by nine grandchildren including Dr. Sindie Shollenberger, Nikki Campbell, Dianne Shaffer (Michael), Nathan Campbell (Carrie), Jenny Copening (Tyler), Janelle Shollenberger (Justin Bond), Jamie Lightbody (Morgan), Tim Reinhardt and Josh Reinhardt.  Nine great grandchildren loved her as "GG" including Jacob, Matthew, Joseph, Megan, Desiree, Anna, Max, Georgia and Jack.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was a spunky lady and loved by many people throughout her lifetime.

Private family services will be held at Edder Funeral Home in Girard on Thursday with interment at Fairview Cemetery alongside her best buddy... her husband.
