Kenneth E. Tallman, 74 of Platea, died Tuesday October 10, 2017 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
  He was born  April 8, 1943 in Platea, a son of the late Earl R. Tallman and Agnes A. (Hershelman Brownlee) Tallman.
  Ken graduated from Northwestern High School with the class of 1961. He was a member of the US National Guard and also a member of Girard American Legion, Post # 494; the Albion Sportsman Club, and enjoyed hunting and fishing. 
  He leaves behind his family which includes his wife, Elizabeth (Dean) Kolesar Tallman, whom he married on December 22, 1990; two stepsons, Ronald C. Kolesar and Matthew A. Kolesar of Platea; his brother, Donald Tallman (Barbara) of Cranesville; nephew, Don "DJ" Tallman (Misty) of Springboro; and a niece, Tina Oless (George) of Erie. 
 He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed greatly for his kind words and actions.
 Friends may call on Saturday at Edder Funeral Home inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard from 12 noon to the time of the service at 3 p.m.
