Kenneth C. Gebhardt, 75 of Spring Creek and formerly of Franklin Twp., died Sunday August 27, 2017 at his home following an extended illness.
 He was raised and educated in Franklin Twp., graduating from Edinboro High School in 1959. Following high school he worked for Yaple’s in Erie and later went to work for Zurn Industries (Now Ameridrives Inc.) retiring from there following 38 years of employment with the company. He was Co-Owner of K & D Archery in Franklin Center.
 Ken was a life member and founder of the Franklin Twp Volunteer Fire Department, and was former Chief there as well. He was also a life member of the Brokenstraw Fish & Game Club; a member of the Youngsville American Legion Post #658 Sons of the American Legion and loved hunting, fishing, golfing and shooting trap.
 In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn (Mills) Gebhardt and a sister, Heidi Crummie.
 Ken will be greatly missed by his family, which includes his wife, Kathy L. (Loomis) Gebhardt, whom he married August 16, 2009 in Sugar Grove, PA; his step daughter, Melissa A. DeCann (Robert) ; four sons, Chris K. Gebhardt  (Jean), Dean L. Gebhardt, Troy M. Gebhardt (Heather), Kent A. Gebhardt; two step sons, Chad A. Woodard (Adrein), Scott M. Woodard (Michelle); two sisters, Diane Kalicky (Victor), Sherry Braden; three brothers, Terry Gebhardt (Rose), Gary Gebhardt (Dorothy), Thom Gebhardt (Mary Beth); 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to the time of a service at 7 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard with Rev Barb English officiating.
 Burial will be in the Sterrettania Cemetery.
