Janice A. (Tononi) Thomas, 59 formerly of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday April 18, 2017, at Millcreek Community Hospital following a brief illness.
 She was born in Erie June 21, 1957. She was raised and educated in the Erie area. Following high school she worked as a Nurses Aid at Pleasant Ridge Manor for several years and later cleaned for several businesses and homes throughout the area. 
 She attended the Girard Alliance Church at one time and also enjoyed gardening, candles, painting and spending time going to yard sales.
 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Tim Tononi.
 She is survived by her son, Benjamin D. Thomas of Erie; and a brother Todd.
 There will be no calling hours or services observed.
