James Victor Senyo, 48 of Girard, passed away on Friday April 14, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family, from complications of kidney cancer.
He is survived by his parents, Rodney and Lois Senyo; his brothers, Archpriest Michael Senyo  (Susanne) of Pittsburgh, Daniel Senyo ( Beverly) of Girard, his nephews, Michael Senyo (Trisha), Alexander Senyo (Laura), Kevin Senyo and his niece, Erica Senyo.
JIm was born October 16, 1968 in Erie and was a member of St. Alexander Nevesky Cathedral in Pittsburgh. He graduated from the Girard HIgh School in 1986 where he was a Varsity Letterman in baseball and football. After graduation from high school , Jim attended Penn State University where he majored in Administrative Justice.
Jim was a 25-year employee at the Erie County Department of Corrections. Throughout his life, he enjoyed coaching offensive and defensive backs at Girard High School under the late Mina George. When not coaching, Jim spent his free time, hunting, fly fishing, golfing and perfecting his softball game.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 1-4 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Panikhida Service will be held there on Tuesday at 7 p.m. with James brother, Archpriest Michael Senyo Presiding.
The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 8442 Pageville Rd., Edinboro, with Father Seraphim Wing and Archpriest Michael Senyo Presiding.
Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
