James Coyle Obituary

James A. Coyle, 82, of West Springfield, died unexpectedly on Wednesday March 21, 2018.
He was born in Erie on March 6, 1936, son of the late Rufus and Euellen (Green) Falk.
Jim grew up in Erie attending Strong Vincent High School. Following his marriage he lived in Torrance, CA, where he worked for United Airlines and then Mayflower Trucking. He later moved to Brookville, PA, for a number of years, returning to Erie in 1967 and eventually West Springfield in 2003. While driving for Hammermill Paper he achieved one million miles accident free and retired as a truck driver from Iroquois Tool.
A lifelong hard worker, Jim was devoted to his jobs and his family. He especially enjoyed westerns and submarine movies and taking family vacations. Those who knew him appreciated his unique sense of humor. He always enjoyed the camaraderie of life at the hunting camp.
A 27 year member of Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department, he was a fire police and served as President for 16 non consecutive years. Jim was a very proud member of the Teamsters Local #397 in Erie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Louise (Timblin) Coyle in 2009.
He will be greatly missed by his family, which include his daughter, Kathleen L. Coyle; two sons, Ryan J. Coyle (Mona) and Todd A. Coyle; sisters, Shirley Mountain and Mary Ellen Carrick; his granddaughter, Mikaela Coyle; his aunts, Helen Murphy, Edna Huntington  and several nieces and nephews.
