To an incredible loving family my heart goes out to you. Addiction is a horrible sickness and we are struggling with our own daughters addiction at this time. Always remember your son, brother , and loved one for who he was, not for the sickness. I will lift your son in prayer and pray that God's healing power covers all of you.

I'm so sorry for your loss, my family and I understand your pain as we lost my husband on April 7, 2016 to the same battle. I will be praying for your family, holding onto God and His promises is what has gotten me through along with great support from friends and our church.
After Gary passed God flooded me with two scriptures and I will share them with you and pray that they bring you as much comfort as they have brought me.
Romans 8:28 and Genesis 50:20-21
Thank you for your honesty in the loss of your son, I've found that sharing our story has helped others and I'm sure that you will help others too.

Jacob was a wonderful young man with a sweet soul and a true kind heart. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I remember a shift where I was his nurse and he and I had a very deep and meaningful conversation about life. I know he had so much he wanted to bring to the world and others. I did not know your son or your family but I know many like him. I have a son and a daughter in law who both are addicts and who to this day are not using anymore. I praise God and thank him every day because I know that at any minute that could change. God bless you and your family and I know that your son is in heaven. I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for the beautiful obituary reminding us that addicts are good people.

I do not know any of you but I am very sorry for all of you! Jacob was a nice looking young man. I to have had family that were into drugs.
