Helen (Gresock)  Mehok, 97 of Girard, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
  She was born on May 16, 1920 in Helvetia, PA, daughter of the late Michael Gresock and Katherine (Karopinak) Gresock.
  Helen was raised and educated in Helvetia and Sykesville, PA, moving to Girard in 1964, where she had been a resident there since that time. She was a member of S.S. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church in Girard where she was active in the Altar Rosary Society.  Helen enjoyed baking and crocheting as well as praying the Rosary.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Mehok in May 1979, whom she married May 3, 1941 in Sykesville; three children in infancy; five sisters, Mary Meholick, Kate Osminiski, Anna Sherba, Margaret Slimmer and Julia Roman; four brothers, Michael Gresock in infancy and also George, James and John Gresock and; a daughter in law, Louise Mehok.
     She is survived by two sons, Robert J. Mehok (Kay), Gary M. Mehok (Brenda); a daughter, Cindy Mehok; two sister in laws, Mary and Helen Gresock; ten grandchildren, Douglas (Leann), Daniel (Holly), Shawn (Danielle), Christina (Andrew), Jen (Scott), Eric (Kari), Stephanie, Linda (Jeff), Joey, Jennifer (B.J.), as well as her beloved great grandchildren, Evan and Kyle Mehok, Alyssa and Paige Moore, as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard. A Parastas Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at S.S. Cyril & Methodius Byzantine Catholic Church, 1022 Tilden Ave., Girard with Fr. John Mihalco officiating.
 Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Girard.
