Helen J. (Schwab) Burns, 98 formerly of Waterford and Millcreek Twp. died Monday September 4, 2017.
 Helen was born in Waterford, Pa., on July 5, 1919 to the late John and Florence Welch Schwab.
  She graduated from Waterford High School in 1936. After high school she settled down with her husband David and was a wonderful homemaker throughout her life.  Helen also enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Garden Club and the Sharps Ladies Aid in Waterford. She loved animals and had many pets during her lifetime.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, David N. Burns; sister in law, Janet Burns and by her brothers, Louis Schwab and his wife Bette;  Kern W. Schwab; brother and sister in law, Norman and Caroline Schwab; brother in law, R. James Sturgeon.
  Survivors include her sister, Shirley Sturgeon of Millcreek; brothers, Roger Schwab (Betty Jean), sister in law, Beverly all of Waterford; and several nieces and nephews.
 Services will be held privately by the family.
