Geraldine M. (Rodgers) Williams

Geraldine M. (Rodgers) Williams, 93 formerly of Girard, passed away on Friday March 30, 2018 at Walnut Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
 She was born February 5, 1925 in Cambridge Springs a daughter of the late Clarence L. and Lillian B. Hanson Rodgers.
 Geraldine was raised and educated in Cambridge Springs and following her marriage to Wayne N. "Whitey" Williams on July 1, 1944 moved to Girard where she has resided since. She had worked for C.G. Woods in Girard, also Girard Mfg. , Johnson Controls in Erie, and most recently for Girard Plastics where she worked for twenty three years retiring from there in 1987.
She was a charter member of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Girard, where she was active in the food ministry. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening , nature and being active.
 She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne N. "Whitey" Williams, a sister, Mildred Benner; three brothers Howard Rodgers in infancy; Clarence G.; and Norman E. Rodgers.
Survivors include two daughters, V. Elaine Williams of Sellersville, PA.; Diane M. Herhold (Gene) of Girard; two sons, David W. Williams (Esther) of Girard; Dana L. Williams (Brenda) of Ephrata, PA.; a sister, Charlotte A. Griffith (Lewis) of  Millstone, KY.; two brothers, Donald D. Rodgers (Rita) of Cambridge Springs and Robert E. Rodgers of Edinboro; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services there on Tuesday at 10 a.m.    
 Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.
