Florence (Wasiulewski) Skapura

Florence (Wasiulewski) Skapura, 89 of Girard, passed away on Friday December 14, 2018 at Pleasant Ridge Manor.
 She was born November 27, 1929 in Erie, a daughter of the late John and Bertha (Lubiejewski) Wasiulewski.
 Florence graduated from East High School in 1948. Throughout her life, she and her husband Mike owned and operated various business interests. Also, enjoyed reading, traveling, talk radio and was an avid card player.
She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Girard.
 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Mike, whom she married August 8, 1951 in Erie; a son, Paul Skapura; a sister, Dorothy Wasiulewski and a brother, Frank Wasiulewski.
 Florence leaves behind a son, Michael Skapura of Girard and a Granddaughter in Elysburg, Pa.
 Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 101 Olin Ave., Girard on Tuesday at 9 a.m. with Rev. Scott Detisch officiating.
 Florences' last request , donations, in lieu of flowers be made to the Carmelite Monastery of Jesus Mary & Joseph, 430 Monastery Road, Elysburg, PA 17824
