Elaine B. (Everden) Olesnanik

Elaine B. (Everden) Olesnanik, 84, of Lake City, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Sunrise Senior Living where she resided.
 She was born June 11, 1933 in East Springfield, a daughter of the late Forrest J. and Gussie (Goodenow) Everden.
 Elaine graduated from the Springfield Twp. High School in 1951 and attended Erie Business College. She worked at the Lake City Post Office and later assisted her husband, Steve, in the family woodworking business, driving the business truck, keeping track of sales, expenses, and managing the financial operations.
 She was a member of the Federated Church of East Springfield where she was a past Sunday School Superintendent/Sunday School Teacher. She volunteered at the Girard American Legion Post #494, enjoyed sending cards and notes to people with letters of encouragement, assisted her husband in the Boy Scouts and was his all around "right hand man". Elaine also enjoyed roller skating and had participated with her family in St. Vincent Health Centers, three mile walks. 
 In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve T. Olesnanik in 2014, who she married November 15, 1952 in East Springfield, also by brothers, Arthur "Art" Everden, James Everden, a grandson Todd Olesnanik, sister in laws, Josephine Bailey Travis, Dorothy Meeder, brother in laws, Joe Olesnanik and John Olesnanik.
 She will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her daughters, Joy Webber (Dennis) of East Springfield, Anita Glover (Steve) of Millcreek; sons, Steve Thomas (Beth) Olesnanik, Dennis "D.J." (Coleen) Olesnanik, John (Debra) Olesnanik all of Lake City and Mark (Sharon) Olesnanik of Girard; a sister in law, Carol Everden; 21 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren, sister in laws, Margaret Pekelnicky, Patricia Ball; brother in laws, William Olesnanik, Andy Olesnanik and Carl Olesnanik (Melva) also several nieces and nephews.
 Friends and family may call at the Federated Church, 11995 Main St., E. Springfield, on Sunday, November 19, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. to the time of a Memorial Service at 2 p.m.with Pastor Ed Huntley officiating.
 The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Sunrise of Presque Isle Bay and VNA Hospice for their compassion to our Mom. 
 Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Girard at the convenience of the family.
