Every time I walk into my mother's apartment, I see the charcoal sketches of my sister and I that Edie drew when we were little kids. All our shared times together as family friends fill us with wonderful memories. Oh, those camping trips: cool mornings with Edie's sticky buns, Dinty Moore stew suppers doctored up (by Mr. T) into palatable fare for the whole gang, and the banter around evening campfires. Oleo Acres provided years of fun, and we remember our ongoing search for treasure there, so that we could truly call the place the "Estate". When we look back, we realize that the real "treasure" there was all our shared good times. We remember square dancing (You know, Edie is a real "Bird of Paradise" now.). And too many teenage parties to count; those parties brought many friendships and romances to life, including the 50+ year one that lives on with us - Fred and Kathy Niebauer. Edie's one-of-a-kind spirit touched us in so many ways.

I'm so grateful that Edie was such a huge part of my life growing up. She love each and every child in our neighborhood like we were her own grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

Clair & Family ~ my thoughts and prayers are with you as you celebrate Edie's life. Love to all of you.

Have been reminiscing about camping and campfires, "The Estate," Hemlock Lakes and all the many trips we shared as familes, and those wonderful cinnamon rolls that always came along! These memories make us smile and bring such joy at this very sad time. Eddie's art, still have her books and some pastel velvet from way back, her music boxes shared with our children, the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches when I would "run away" from home...All of these memories are part of us for ever! Our love and sympathy are with you and may your memories sustain you and in the days ahead. Linda and Dave

A wonderful neighbor and a beautiful human being. Thank you for your special friendship to our daughter Kristi as a child. Our world is a lesser place without Edie Lyons.
