Deborah A. (McNeish) Vasilik, 66, of Lake City, passed away on Thursday October 11, 2018 at UPMC Hamot, following an extended illness.
She was born January 13, 1952 in Slippery Rock, Pa, a daughter of the late Harold L. and Dorothy (Johnson) McNeish.
Deborah graduated from the Rice Avenue Union High School in 1970. She began her employment career, shortly after and worked at various manufacturing facilities in the area. She worked several years at Visiting Nurses Association and most recently had been employed at DSW Shoes in Erie.
She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed reading, traveling, going to camp to ride four wheelers and especially loved her grandpuppies, "Peanut" and "Widget"
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, Charles "Charlie" Smith in 2011.
Deborah will be greatly missed by her family, which include her husband, Andrew "Andy" Vasilik Sr., whom she married October 13, 1970 in Dillon, SC, also by her daughter, Roxanne Smith; two sons, Andrew "Andy" Vasilik Jr. (Lisa), Robert "Bob" Vasilik (Marni Ross); a sister, Carol Vinroe; three brothers, Clyde McNeish Sr., Raymond "Skeeks" McNeish, Kevin McNeish (Lisa); four grandchildren, Aaron, Alex "Chub", Adam and Alyssa; her great grandaughter, Adeline Vasilik; her very close friend, Pam Mead and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services there on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
