Dean Alan Brown, 57 of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. Vincent Health Center following a brief illness.
 He was born August 28, 1960 in Geneva, PA, a son of the late Basil D. Brown and Shirley (Kapala) Brown of Ashtabula.
 Dean graduated from St. John’s Catholic High School in Ashtabula in 1978. Following high school he lived in Florida for several years returning to the area in 1989. He was a Machine Operator by trade and currently employed at Swagelok in Solon OH, for over the past twenty years.
 He was a long time member of the Federated Church of East Springfield, loved riding his Harley Davidson and attending “Roar on the Shore” every year. He also loved camping with his family, especially at Pymatuning Valley Resort in Ohio. He enjoyed a good game of golf, and was very proud of his time as a clown, and graduating from Clown College in Erie. Dean was a dedicated father and husband, never missing his boy’s athletic events in their high school years for the Girard Yellow Jackets. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, loved playing with his dog, “Bentley” and was a longtime friend of Bill.
 He will be greatly missed by his family, which include his wife, Debra K. (Conley) Brown, whom he married May 18, 1991 in East Springfield; his two sons, Garrett D. Brown and his fiancé Shannon Allen of Girard, Gabriel A. Brown of Girard; a sister, Deanna M. Mishler (Rick Taylor) of Andover, OH, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home, 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services there on Monday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Ed Huntley officiating.
 Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
