Connie (Reese) Wetzel

Connie (Reese) Wetzel, 72 of Fairview and formerly of Harborcreek, died Wednesday February 14, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.
 She was born September 2, 1945 in Savannah, GA., a daughter of the late Billy and Marian E. (Allen) Reese.
 She graduated from New Wilmington High School in 1963. Following high school she married Gary L. Wetzel on January 2, 1965 in Pulaski, Pa. She and her husband lived in North Carolina, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune. They moved to Harborcreek where Gary was a Trooper with Pennsylvania State Police. She lived in Harborcreek most of her life, recently moving to Fairview in 2005.
 She enjoyed Caribbean cruises with her husband during their retirement, going to "Camp" in President, PA; loved gardening, reading, sewing and attending all of her grandchildren's activities and simply spending time with her family.
 In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary W. Reese Sr.
 She will be greatly missed by her family, which includes her daughter, Lee Ann McTeigue (Thomas) of White Plains, NY; two sons, Reese A. Wetzel (Elizabeth) of Girard, Todd J. Wetzel of Fairview; sisters, Gwendolyn Isaac (Gerald) of Pulaski, PA, Nancy Eckert of Fayetteville, NC; a brother, Billy Reese (Kris) of Brookfield, OH; her grandchildren, William McTeigue, Reese McTeigue, Jacob Wetzel, Sydney Wetzel, Luke Wetzel and several neices and nephews.
 Friends may call on Saturday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard, and are invited to attend services there on Sunday at 1 pm with Rev, Andrew Edwards officiating.
