Angelia Neiger Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to our angel, Angelia M. Neiger, 33, of Waterford on Wednesday March 6, 2024 at UPMC Hamot Hospital.

She was born July 27, 1990 to Marion Neiger and Gary Pustelak.

As a young girl she spent much of her time with her cousin Nicky.  They danced and twirled baton in many parades; attended Pennside Church as well as Little Mahoning Bible Camp.

Angel had an early education at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic School before graduating from Girard High School in 2009. She loved sports and had an aggressive and competitive nature on the soccer field and enjoyed playing basketball. She was an avid motor sports fan, often riding dirt bikes and four wheelers with her family.

Upon graduation she enlisted in the United States Army. Serving with the United States Central Command within the Military Police. Angel served 10 months in Afghanistan; she was awarded the National Defense Service, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with Device, Combat Action Badge. Attaining the rank of Specialist, she was Honorably Discharged and returned home to Erie. Angel’s military service developed her from a young girl to a woman.

She will be greatly missed by her family which include her mother, Marion Neiger (Tony); father, Gary Pustelak (Christine); sisters, Morgan Pustelak, Bobbi Jo Synder (Aaron), Tricia Kennedy (John); brothers, Mike Bogart, Matt Bogart, Caden Pustelak, Joseph Pustelak; many aunts, uncles, cousins including Timothy Mello Jr. and her pets, whom she loved so much.

Friends may call on Saturday March 16, 2024 from 11:00am to the time of service at 1:00 pm at the Edder Funeral Home Inc. 309 Main St. E. Girard. Full Military Honors will follow.
