Zella L. (Stilley) Joslin, 97 of Girard and formerly of Conneaut Lake, Pa, went to be with her Lord on Monday January 1, 2018 at her home.
She was born July 12, 1920 in Ambridge, PA, the second of eight children born to the late Sherman S. and Ella L. (Bell) Stilley.
She graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1938 and worked for Etter’s Grocery Store before she continued her education by attending the Erie Business School. Upon graduating she went to work at Bill’s Radio in Conneaut Lake and Meadville where she worked for the next 40 years.
Zella was a current member of the Girard United Methodist Church and long time member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Conneaut Lake, where she was active as Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader and United Methodist Women. She also enjoyed stamping and card making, traveling to Ireland and visiting family and friends throughout the Unites States. She could be found playing golf or bowling with her husband Harry many days in Girard.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Joslin, whom she married March 18, 1989, also by her siblings and spouses, Richard S. “Dick” Stilley and his wives, Mary E. Walker and Eileen M. Terril, M. Anna (Stilley) Nodler and husband Jesse, Ruth M. Stilley, Lena E. (Stilley) Larsen and husband David, Ella L. (Stilley) Hollabaugh and husband Lyle, brother in law, Donald Q. Stallard and a son Mark L. Joslin.
She will be greatly missed by her family, which include her two sisters, Betty Jane (Stilley) Stallard of Conneaut Lake, Virginia B. (Stilley) Maze (Virgil) of Haines City, FL; a daughter, Pamela L. Hickman of Girard; three grandchildren, Christina E. Hickman, Carrie R. VanDamia (Nick), John M. Hickman (Amanda); seven great grandchildren, Avery, Jacob, Riley, Noah, Aidan, Emma, Payton; numerous nieces and nephews and some she is not related to that affectionately call her “Aunt Zella.”
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Edder Funeral Home Inc., 309 Main St. East, Girard and are invited to attend services on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Girard Methodist Church, 48 Main St. East, Girard with Rev. Brock Beveridge officiating.

Burial will be in the Girard Cemetery.
