Hello Classmate Jack and Audrey Hughes Niskanen,
I read in the Erie Times-News of the untimely passing of your oldest son, and send my condolences. The death of a "child" has to be the most difficult of losses. I had seen Bobby's name on the newsletter prayer page of the First Presbyterian Church of Girard for a long time; I receive the newsletter because that was my home church in the 1930's to '54 when I married Bill Dandoy.
Ted Lesko phoned last Thursday, July 27th, to inquire because Jack's name was not printed, just "Matthew" and he didn't know that was his classmate's baptismal name! I visited your Fairview Presbyterian Church last Saturday, July 29th, to attend memorial service for The Rev. Charles Crist who was my neighbor on fourth floor of Sarah Reed Senior Living where I reside.
I hope our loving Lord is surrounding you and family with peace and comfort while you adjust to Robert's absence. Sincerely yours, Kathleen
